As the industry leader, Nef marked a historic season through its sports sponsorships, launched to support Türkiye’s social development and strengthen the country’s international profile. Having served as Galatasaray’s main sponsor since 2016, Nef later signed a sponsorship agreement with FC Barcelona, one of the world’s most renowned sports clubs. On 23 April of the previous year, the company also became the sponsor of Karaçay Gençlik Sports Club, widely known in Türkiye as the “Team of Hope.”
First Karaçay, Then FC Barcelona, and Finally Galatasaray
All three teams sponsored by Nef celebrated championship victories.
Founded in 2011 by young people with the aim of steering children and teenagers away from harmful habits such as drug abuse while promoting healthy and educated future generations, Karaçay Gençlik Sports Club won both the senior and U-19 regional league titles in its first season following Nef’s sponsorship. These were the club’s first championships in its history.
Shortly afterwards, FC Barcelona secured the Spanish league title with three matches remaining, claiming the championship for the 26th time. Finally, Galatasaray defeated Medipol Başakşehir 2–1 at home to secure its 22nd Turkish league title with one week remaining in the season.
Supporting Türkiye’s Development
Commenting on the achievement, Selçuk Çelik, Deputy General Manager of Marketing at Nef, stated that the company’s sports sponsorships both contribute to Türkiye’s development and help promote the country internationally.
