With the launch of Nef Global in January 2018, Nef is expanding its presence into international markets.
Within just three months of its establishment, Nef Global received 62 partnership proposals and aims to become a global real estate player through developments in major cities such as New York, London, and Berlin. The company’s first international project will be launched in Brentford, London, while it has also signed a partnership agreement for a project in Brooklyn, New York. Nef’s goal is to establish a presence in 10 global metropolises by 2023.
Speaking at a press conference held at the British Consulate, Erden Timur, Chairman of the Board of Nef, stated that Nef Global represents another important step towards building a globally recognised real estate brand.
“Our ambition was to create an international brand in an industry that has never truly had one. When we established Nef Global in January, our team of just three people met with 62 companies overseas. Today, that number has exceeded 200. Our objective is to be present in 10 major metropolitan cities by 2023.”
Timur described the company’s international expansion as an export of ideas.
“We establish these partnerships by contributing only our intellectual property and patented concepts, without investing our own capital. This is an export model with no imported inputs. Our goal is to generate foreign currency revenue for Türkiye through an entirely home-grown idea. These developments, which will largely be sold to international buyers, carry the Nef brand together with our patented Foldhome concept, creating a sustainable business model that contributes to the Turkish economy.”
Timur’s patented Foldhome concept has already attracted significant interest in Türkiye. Rather than simply purchasing a home, residents gain access to a wide range of shared living spaces within their building. These include private cinemas, guest suites, fully equipped kitchens for larger gatherings, music rooms with recording studios, and many other reservable facilities that significantly expand the functionality of a traditional home.
